Industrial Aluminum ProfileS Production Process
A well-structured production system doesn’t just boost efficiency – it ensures consistent quality in every extruded profile. For manufacturers specializing in industrial aluminum extrusions, precision is non-negotiable, making reliable processes essential.
Here’s how we approach production:
We begin by reviewing your design drawings or samples. This helps us identify potential extrusion challenges, determine critical dimensions, and plan how to maintain control throughout production. Once drawings are confirmed, we move to mold manufacturing.
Extrusion mold design isn’t standard machining – it’s a specialized process balancing mechanical engineering with high-temperature pressure forming. Our designs account for unique thermal expansion and material flow factors. After design, we heat the mold while simultaneously bringing the aluminum billets to extrusion temperature before test sampling.
Our technicians carefully inspect sample profiles for dimensions and surface quality. If adjustments are needed, we develop detailed mold revision plans before proceeding.
Once samples pass inspection, we perform manual straightening to ensure perfect alignment, followed by precision cutting.
Aging treatment is critical – typically 8-10 hours – to achieve the required hardness profiles. For bendable products like aluminum tubes, we maintain hardness below 10 Webster units, with 6063 alloy being ideal.
We then apply specified surface treatments – anodizing, powder coating, polishing – before conducting final inspections covering dimensions, surface defects, and hardness. Approved samples are shipped for customer evaluation.
After customer confirmation, we begin full production. All profiles undergo cutting, inspection, and careful packaging designed to prevent transport damage.
Throughout production, materials are handled by designated zones to prevent scratches and contamination.
Final shipping awaits customer instructions. Our after-sales team responds quickly and accurately to any issues, documenting feedback to continuously improve future production runs.
